Ok, the first time I heard the song I was like O_o... it's shocking at first to say the least, because it is so not what you expect from Offspring.
But by the second time I listened to it, I was...

There's more to living
Than only surviving
Maybe I'm not there
But I'm still trying
--Staring at the Sun
I've seen the way the salesmen
Stare into the sun
I stood and watched them
I remember the first time I listened to Lightning Rod I didn't like it too much... and then it ended up becoming my favorite song on Splinter! All Along and It'll Be a Long Time grew on me too.
My favorite Greg quote (well, my only Greg quote... :p)
From the MuchMusic Toronto 2000 concert, the interviewer asked Greg a question after talking mostly to Dexter and Noodles, and Greg said...
Really good job!
Would you (or anyone on this board) happen to be able to do the bass tabs for this song?
I've been a fan since Americana, so I put 5-10 years. I think I started visiting the forum during the build-up to Conspiracy of One's release. I remember when they first revealed the album cover...
This is nigh impossible narrowing it down to five.
1) Staring at the Sun (this has always been my #1)
2) Change the World
3) Smash
4) Burn It Up
5) Walla Walla
There is no reason to not like The Offspring. :D
The Offspring treat their fans much better than most bands. Noodles and Dexter have always been nice enough to take the time out to update...
I hadn't seen that one before. It's great, thanks.
Maybe someone can transcribe some more accurate lyrics from it.
Best Intro - Dirty Magic. I remember the first time I heard this, the intro caught me so off-guard. It didn't sound like any of their other songs. It's so unique.
Best Guitar - Burn It Up.
Best...
Even just those three lines are awesome. Can't wait for the new album. Thanks to Dexter for keeping us updated.
Too bad Million Miles Away isn't on it, but otherwise, looks great.
Originally, "Kill The President" was on self-titled, but when they reissued it a few years ago, they took that song off the album. You'd have to find an older version of the album.
"Huck It" was...
CO1. No contest. I'm glad The Offspring kept that flaming skull as their logo.
Thanks for letting people know. It works for me in IE.
Can somebody help me or at least tell me if I can't listen to the radio since I have Windows 98?
