Hey guys, my dad is a photographer and he decided he wanted to re-create the cover of Days Go By, but he didn't have a child to pose with him, so he used a troll doll.
Thought you all might get a...
I started listening to the Offspring in 2001, so for me, I have a weird way of thinking about their songs. I spent two years listening to songs from Smash, Ixnay, Americana, and CO1. So when Splinter...
I love Josh Freese. I wish he was able to be a member of the band full time.
He was rhyming every second line. "end, again, wind, again" But, honestly, a song doesn't HAVE to rhyme to sound good. Check out a song by Chevelle. They don't really focus on rhyming and it still...
Given those choices, it's tough between Denial, Revisited and All I Have Left Is You. Gone Away is ok, but I prefer the album version over the piano version, and Fix You is terrible.
I like Splinter a lot, but it's definitely not their best. The Noose, Long Way Home, Race Against Myself, Can't Get My Head Around You, Never Gonna Find Me, and Lightning Rod are great tracks, but...
I'm not a big fan of She's Got Issues, Why Don't You Get a Job, Fix You, Worst Hangover Ever and Cruising California. Those are the only ones I'll actually take the time to skip when I'm listening to...
I loved Nothing from Something.
1. Slim Pickens
2. All I Have Left Is You
3. OC Guns
4. Secrets from the Underground

When Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace came out, I saw "RAFRAG" so many times I began to start actually calling the album rafrag.
From my favorite to least favorite: (I love all the albums, so coming in at #9 does NOT mean I hated it)
1. Ignition - I don't have to skip any songs on this. I can easily listen to this album...
I love OC Guns. I used to work with a lot of Hispanic people and I would hear words like cabron, pendejo, etc.... all the time. Hearing Dexter talk like that made me lol. :D
So that I can have my OWN copy in my own collection? So I can blast it in my car with the windows down?
The only Offspring album I ever bought without hearing ANY of the songs first was Ignition. I love that album, but I also love all the ones that I heard a few songs on first, and ones like Splinter,...
All I Have Left Is You - I imagine something similar to the Gone Away video
OC Guns - would probably be a fun video like Original Prankster
I find it interesting that although, Self Esteem is almost always played as the "grand finale" or encore song in most Offspring shows, very few people have listed it in their top 3 for Smash.
Rise Against totally ripped off "Genocide" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19X7rttooH0
S/T:
1. I'll Be Waiting
2. Jennifer Lost the War
3. Demons
Ignition:
1. Forever and a Day
2. Dirty Magic
3. Hypodermic
I don't really like Fix You, but I love All I Have Left Is You
They want people to hear Dirty Magic, why not release it?
I've had Slim Pickens stuck in my head all day. Guess I gotta go with that.
Both songs were amazing, but I think I liked Slim Pickens better.
Based on the current trend, I wouldn't expect a new album any earlier than 2016-2017. By then Dexter will be in his early 50s. It's probably safe to say that we are nearing the end of the Offspring...
When RAFRAG came out, the previews were released too early (About 2 weeks in advance if I remember correctly) and were taken down until after the album came out.
I love the part in "I Choose" where he says - If words were wisdom I'd be talking even more.
"Have You Ever" - The truth about the world is the crime does pay.
"Burn It Up" - Tonight there's...
