it sucks...especially if its a bass string. I snapped mine a few weeks back, but when I bought spares in bulk, so that if it happened again I could just fix it. It happens alot with me

Well it seems to be happening when I palm mute it. Mabe im doing it to hard. I snapped a bass string once, It made the most anoying sound.

Wow ive never heard of a string snapping palm muting you must be a damn hard palm muter i usually snap strings bending them

Well I never used to snap them like that. I think its when i go a little crazy and decide to palm mute it like a leprechaun on coffee.

I've never snapped a bass string, but i've snapped millions of guitar strings especially the d string when i tried doing windmills

once my e sting(smallest one) snapped while i was tuning and left a nice gash across my hand. i noticed that my strings seem to snap the most when i gallup(both palmmuting and regular galluping). maybe i'm galloping to hard?
