I want to put a .gif file as my avatar, but its to big. How do I make it smaller without ruining the video clip and keeping it a .gif file? (a .gif file is a small video type cartoon.)

you can keep it running or just let a small picture instead, but you have to resize the file by 80 x 80 pixels. I did mine at paint shop pro.
Or there is a size limit too, but when I tried to upload it didn´t work. You´d better go to PSP and resize the pics for 80 x 80.

I wont be much help here- I havent been able to successfully resize any GIF images they turn into Jpegs and stop moving.

do you have paint shop pro???
f you have paint shop pro, you can resize the file ( even if they become jpgs) and then with the gif animator you manage to make it work again.
No stress. Just try out!

paint shop would not be the best solution, try Macromedia Fireworks. It's a programm for working with graphical objects and etc.

You could do it too with the Adobe Image Ready.
