A moose that hangs around towns... wouldn't be too hard to get with a knife. I've thrown snowballs at some of the deer around my town from about 6 feet away, and they'll only move a foot away. Animals get very tame in towns.

And I think his overall point here is that hunting with a gun isn't nearly as manly nor respectful to the prey as going after the animals yourself. I don't hunt, but I think I have to agree. I've never heard of anyone doing it before though. I've heard of people stabbing bears, but they're easy enough to get to attack you. Imagine how amazing that would be if you survived. You could tell people you beat a bear in a fight.
