Where should it be?
Dirt track behind neighborhood
Abandoned barn in field
Friend's garage
Don't know, Don't care
Where should it be?
Somewhere that you can get decent acoustics and make sure that it's soundproofed otherwise you could pick up random sounds in the background. This all is reletive depending upon your recording method etc...
I wouldn't pick any of those locations. If I had to though the abandoned building maybe? depends on what it's like, or the garage, but be sure to check the sound bouncing off the ground/walls maybe.
my band plays at our drummers garage! it's preety cool!but i think in a few months, we'll be able to play in a little studio
yeah same here.
depends, if its like an abandonded warehouse that would be horrible to record in.Originally Posted by Lars

Definitely not the garage - we have band practices in my garage and the acoustics are terrible.
Well in this topic it's referring to a abandoned barn in a fieild. I don't know but my impressions is something that dampens the music somewhat, but doesn't really produce much echo.
The aim of the poll was to see what others think. My vote was the dirt track, more open space, no residents nearby to complain. the barn, just for the hell of it. Garage, c'mon, i just had to put that one in.
wats the name of your band? if its the broken, i think i know you
So is this dirt track an open space? does it have noisy things passing by?
