it's not bad, but it's no where near as good as cuckoo's nest. it's funny to see all plath's issues with men.

she gets all depressed because a guy was mean to her, and then her male doctor makes her even more fucked up but the female doctor she has later fixes her, and at some point she pops her cherry with some guy and she hemorrhages, almost dies and the guy kinda ignores her after that.

I'm reading Corum. Yes, again. I love that book.
When I'm done with my German + Philosophy finals (11 German novels and 84938293 philosophy texts, can't say I'm keen on it) I'll start to read Silmarillion. I am seriously extremly excited.

My parents have some Gogol in Slovak and I've been thinking about reading that. Now I just need to find the time and energy. And I should read more Slavic literature. I was forced to stop while I was at uni because I was busy reading Germanic books. (Talk about Aryan superiority, shitlolz)

I believe the translation would be "The Young Man" by Dostoyevsky. Not impressed, I can barely go a few chapters at a time. Nothing will ever be as good as my dear insane Nikolay *tear*

A lot of psychology stuff - refreshing on Freud, finishing up Fromm.

Will see what my mom has to reccomed after this. Boo.

Is it just me or did anyone else find Fahrenheit 451 to be incredibly overrated. Don't get me wrong, the book had an interesting premise, i just found it to be a bit of a mess, as well it certainly pales in comparison to other dystopic novels such as Huxley's Brave New World.

brave new world sucks ass. f451 is better, though still not all that great.

god, brave new world was just *bad*. particularly that faggy shakespeare-lovin' guy.

though it was still better than the jungle. now *there's* a textbook example of shitty writing.
