1 (800) 568-7655 is the phone number found on the back of They Were Born To Kill. When I Googled it whith quotation marks I found this "Shirl called Rolling Stone at 1-800-568-7655 to ask about this Issue" here: http://www.claymaniacs.com/forums/in...topic=5485.460

The quote has nothing to do with the bootleg or the band. Rolling Stone is a known music magazine, so it is not entirely impossible that they it has something to do with them. It might be a trick to make people call Rolling Stone and tell them how great the 7" is, and make The Offspring mentioned in the magazine.
