well, i told him that i hate his favorite band of all time. so now his been doing that irritating thing to me just to annoy me to death.
green day, why sure i used to love them when i randomly pushed the play botton to DOOKIE. but now, im so fed up with their new stuff. im sorry.
u must fancy GREEN DAY amirite.
thank u.
UGH!!! my next door neighbor is now annoyed with me so i don't go on to irritate him by playing the offspring in my back yard.![]()
So I realized I haven't actually given Green Day's newest album a real, fair listen from beginning to end. I don't really enjoy AI anymore, thanks to the over-hype and hearing it too much... plus the singles (especially 21 Guns) from the new album turned me away. I decided to put it on today. So totally unimpressed so far. I'm six songs in, and Viva Gloria is the only tolerable song so far. Most of this album sounds like they just regurgitated ideas and sounds from AI and repackaged them. I miss the Green Day from "Warning" and earlier![]()
This album is just plain boring. AI wasn't boring; I just got sick of it.
the last album seemed like a cross between nimrod and amercian idiot to me. they had more of the straight forward and catchy songs but i still prefer the older material. one thing that struck me was these "parts" of songs, i know it sounds harsh but i couldnt help thinking when i first heard them that they were snippets from other songs that werent working as full length!
whenever i learn something new it pushes some old knowledge out of my brain, remember that home wine making course when i forgot how to drive?!
I share the same sentiments. AI got really annoying really fast, to the point where I don't ever want to listen to most of the song ever again. The only tracks I really still like are Give Me Novocaine, Letterbomb and Whatsername.
As for 21st, I've heard a majority of the album on various times since it's release and it totally does feel like AI part 2.
It just makes me so sad. I ended up turning the album off around 7-9 tracks in because I just simply wasn't enjoying it. I used to really like Green Day... I'm all about change, evolving, diversifying... but they just removed all creativity and uniqueness from their sound.
It would really enhance your enjoyment of the album if you didn't sit in front of the computer doing other things, but instead sitting and really listen to the music with just the booklet in front of you.
AI was better than 21CB though, and I'm kind of sick of the album now.
Green day and Offspring seriously need to do SOMETHING together. Tour, single, album, chips for the hot sauce SOMETHING!![]()
