I'm going to with hold judging it completely until i hear the whole version, but so far it sounds pretty good. People hoping for something like Insomniac Part II are probably going to be disappointed though.

Green Day have a few good songs,
but their cover of Operation Ivy's song Knowledge is terrible.
their new songs sounds alright.

Ugh. I think I am pretty done with Green Day. I listened to the leaked song, and read that article... and this band has just gotten far too pretentious. And well, hey, I'm cool with pretentious if you deserve to be. But Green Day? American Idiot and now this song both sound like the band tries WAY too hard to be deep and smart and amazing song writers... they're not good at it. Their long songs (which they incorrectly call "multi movement") are sooo boring, and this new song is, too. Making a song that's 8 minutes full of power chords and yelling vocals... that's not a well written prog rock song; that's tryhard.
BJ's description of each song just reeks of pretentiousness, too. I can't stand it. He's soooooo full of himself, and ugh.
Green Day was fun from the beginning through Warning. Now I just can't stand them. :-/
