Oh, damn. Didn't even know this existed. Did the Shock Stars ever release a second EP or anything with "EMT" etc. on it? I've searched for torrents but to no avail.

It's alright, but not as good as their first EP. The song "EMT" is cheesy as hell and they re-recorded "Biggest Mistake" which was absolutely pointless. I greatly prefer the old version.

coke a holic, you recently uploaded Etiquette by Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, and I enjoyed it much more than I expected. Do you (or anyone else) know of any other artists that make that type of music? That indie-electro sound, where they talk about love and life and use that microphone effect on their voice? I especially liked the female singer, so if you know of any females that would be great.

Have you heard the newest song, "End of Chicago"? It's terrible. I hate it even more than Strawberry Lake. "So Chicago" was alright, though. "EMT" was okay, but yeah the first EP was wayyy better than what they're recording now.

Isn't that just those two DJ's that used to be the Shock Stars sampling Stubhy's vocals though? The Shock Stars are no longer making music. I wasn't really a big fan anyway. Do either of you guys like The Insecurities?

What? Really? That's a huge disappointment. I wasn't aware... that explains why the recent songs suck so much. I liked Shock Stars.

I don't really listen to much in that genre, but I know that PilZ-E and JohnnyNemesis do. There's talk of The Blow being awesome and being similar in the electro sounds.

I say check out the Margot & The Nuclear So And So's I posted earlier (possibly in the original request thread) as well as the Okkervil River that is littered about this thread and the original one. They're both pretty introspective indie bands that have a lot of fun songs, but are generally very serious and awesome.

For one reason or another I haven't listened to any Okkervil River. Actually, I think I did a while ago and didn't particularly like them. I'll check it out again.
