What the hell, are there weapon upgrades in this TF2? In the character info screen, it says "no special items have been acquired yet" and all my items say level 1. Is this some sort of wow joke from valve?

They've been VERY SLOWLY releasing different upgrades for each class, but you have to earn them, and it ain't easy. The only ones that have upgrades so far, though, are the Medic, Pyro, and Heavy. I'm praying for soldier or sniper next, but there's no telling when it'll be.

I don't know if you have already, but do you want to help each other complete some achievements for pyro or heavy? Some of them look doable with just two people. I'm interested in unlocking the new pyro gun mostly.
I'm having a blast with the demoman. I don't get as many kills with him as I do with other classes, but blowing people up with your mines completely makes up for it. It's a very satisfying feeling.
