Cool, thanks! I also like Where I Live a lot. At first I wanted to do a version with Randy singing the second verse/chorus but then I went ahead and did this version for the album... a second version with Randy singing about where he lives would be super awesome, though![]()
Hey Ad, I'm glad to see you making crowd go wild live and keep on writing music. I thought the song about punk running was genial (Deutsch spelling) and your social criticism is kicking again, I'm a fan of the booklet.
Before you speak think about what you're trying to say.
Who else is there to blame for miscommunication?
Im a fan of the artwork as well! Wondered if you could post the lyrics for Where I live and Keep track, unless you've already put them somewhere else?
And maybe you could put them as a comment on ourstage too, it helps to read the lyrics as we listen!![]()
Yeah, no problem. Sorry for the wait!
Keep Track
They're standing in line
Demonstrating their power
One more marvellous than the one before
Annihilating connections to their origins
As if they erased their human nature
To the core
And in contrary to these shiny stars
I sit alone in the back
I know about the irrelevancy of life
Hence I can not keep track
I know I am not perfect
And I will never be
But does this matter anyway?
In the end we'll be buried in oblivion
No one is better than anyone else
That's all I have to say
And in contrary to these shiny stars
I live my life in the back
Since I know about the irrelevancy of life
It's hard for me to even want to keep track
Where I Live
There's a lot of tradition
Along with superstition
Comes the permission
To decide what's right or wrong
No one wants to make an admission
Of major prestige demolition
But everybody is having a suspicion
And melancholia occupies our minds
As for my home nation
I can only hope for quick salvation
We need a general restoration
To restart it all again
We got no air for respiration
Why should be now be even gracious
But we're easily impatient
Old Europe's problems are present
Actually we should be satisfied
No reason to be discontent
But still so much is fucked up
I see criminal intent
Lethargy is our secret friend
We never really learn how to give
We live like this every day
That's what it's like where I live
thanks, I like the songs even more now that I know the lyrics, could you put them on ourstage too? like as a comment?
Of course.
I'm happy to see that you like the lyrics. I think these two are my favourite Ricetigers lyrics after all.
Once again it's been a long time without any update. But...
I think I'll release the sixth album on the 23rd of January.
It's called At The Gates.
...and to even shorten the wait I uploaded one song off the new album to our myspace.
It is called (In-)Sobriety and it's one of the slower songs. Actually this album contains more slower/calm/alternate songs than the ones before. I really experienced around and I don't know if anyone is going to like it, but it is also a good experience to make. I think the seventh album will rather be going the direction of raw and fast punk again. But I'll definitely keep trying new stuff as I did on this record.
Anyway, I hope you like this song!
