I never really got into this song when I listened to Ignition because Dirty Magic and Burn It Up were originally my faves but I clicked on the link in Shank's sig the other day and I can't stop listening to this song!
So what are the lyrics about?/what is your interpretation of the lyrics?

I think it's just like with anything or anyone in life. When things are bad in your life, other bad things happen - hence the song title, "Kick Him When He's Down."
Another words, you're feeling rotten - someone says something to you, something bad happens (work, money (lack of,) emotional issues, etc... so you're kicking him when he's down.
That's my interpretation of it.

Yeah, I was thinking of something along the lines of when something bad happens to you lots of small meaningless other bad things become more significant (terrible way to put it I know)
I think Shank and Oxygene are pretty close to what Dexter may have ben thinking when writing it but I really wish Jojan's was true
