Half-Truism... what do you think it's about?
Well for me, because of the situation in france (and in the world) at the moment, it's about protest/rebellion. But it came out before the strikes and stuff started all over france, and in europe. Umm it seems like people fighting for something/for a cause and "its a hell of a good day to die" would imply that if we die today, in this manifestation, while fighting for something that we believe in, then it was worth it.
Something like that. But it would be cool to know what brought you to write this song, and if there was a particular event that inspired you to write it.![]()
It's about liberating from your own doubts.
Do you think you‘d sell your soul
To just have one thing to turn out right?
Yeah I do too. For a song like "want you bad" or "worst hangover ever" there's nothing to say about it. But for songs like Half-truism in which there is really something special, its great music , great lyrics, and although it might seem obvious, like you replied "liberating from your own doubts" and I said "fighting for what you believe in" well it gets more complex to understand the true/wanted meaning. And I think its cool and interesting to try and figure out the meaning.
And to get the answer from the man!
and for findout5 , sorry I have read one of those threads before, but while Dexter was online, I was hoping he'd want to answer it.
Do you have any tattoo? and if yes, where ?
