Roxbury (Roots N' Shoots) by Big D and The Kids Table. Probably one of my favorite albums of the year so far.

They're a local southern-ontario band, that i really hadn't paid much attention too, but they entered this song into a contest that my favorite podcast (Tell Em' Steve Dave) was having: and i think it's pretty catchy. Their sound is like the more technical sounding melodic punk stuff out there, like Strung Out.

It's not about the lyrics.
I bought the EP by Big Rig (a band featuring Jesse Michaels from Op Ivy) and I listened to it for the first time today. It is the only thing this band ever released and it has been out of print for many years. Jesse says he won't re-release it because he doesn't think it is particularly good, although labels like 1234 Go Records has offered to reprint it. Luckily I got myself a copy of the EP, completely new, and I don't understand what the hell Jesse is talking about. It's great, and I can't stop listening to "Will Alone".
