how do i delete a pm?

In your list of PMs, click the check box to the right of each message that you'd like to delete. Then, scroll to the bottom of the list and click the Selected messages drop-down menu. Click the radio button for "Delete," then click Proceed.

can we still edit the title of a thread we made? if so how?

We've never been able to do that. Only the moderators can change the title of a thread, at least as far as I've ever known.

i used to be able to do it before they re did the layout this year

I used to get requests all the time to change titles of threads before the redesign because others couldn't do it. Hmm.
