Don´t take life too seriously... you’ll never escape it alive anyway
I can't wait to watch that, but it'll have to wait until after work! >,<
OMG, I cheated and listened before work. He's right! I watch all the astronomy specials about stuff like that.

Well, considering how many stars are in each galaxy, how many galaxies there are in the universe, and how many planets we have already found, it's a statistical impossibility that Earth is the only habitable planet. There's even a possibility that there are microbes living in the clouds of Venus. Enceladus has ice geysers and has liquid water under its icy surface. Europa has a deep water ocean under its ice crust, which would serve as protection from solar radiation to the cellular structure of any life that would be there. Titan is like a cold version of earth, where methane takes the place of water and water-ice takes the place of rock, and there are plenty of other places in the solar system that have organic compounds incorporated into their chemical make-up, and others with water under their surfaces.
...my point is, Dexter has a good point by believing in extra-terrestrial life.

Hold on, I just watched that ending again, and I fully caught what Dexter said. He said Europa has a methane ocean. That's not true. It has an ocean made of water. Europa has an internal heat source due to tidal friction from Jupiter and a layer of ice on the outside to contain the subsurface ocean. Saturn's moon Titan is the one with methane oceans on the surface because it's so cold there methane condenses to a liquid that flows like water and water freezes as solid as steel.

I wouldn't be surprised, since he undoubtedly doesn't have the time to keep up with every scientific discovery. He's a very busy guy.
