Well I know at least one person who doesn't care about this because he/she is sitting in his/her tent in the backyard now and will be able to survive much longer because he/she has started living sustainably with vegetables from the garden and camping equipment. I, on the contrary, am stuck in an airport because my flight got delayed by over three hours! MUST BE THE END OF THE WORLD, RIGHT?

I just got back from Guitar Center. This has been the best apocalypse ever. I finally got to buy an Ibanez bass! I've been wanting one for 7 years! I should have it a little after Christmas. Not sure about anyone else, but my 12-21-12 was a fantastically badass day.

I know someone who left the city today with his wife and baby to go to a farming area near the coast... so that if they world ended, they'd be able to sustain themselves on the land. Besides the fact that that's a ridiculously weak precaution (pretty sure "the world ending" doesn't mean you just have to hide and wait), but I seriously can't believe I know someone who actually even considered the possibility of the world ending today. How naive and gullible does one have to be?? I never even remotely thought that the world may possibly end today - the only thing I was worried about was the fact that the political protests here in the city coupled with some idiots thinking the world was going to end might result in serious riots (fortunately, it didn't). I just... what the fuck, people.

I find it amazing that some people actually take this seriously. I mean, sure, it was the Mayans, and they were pretty advanced for the time and whatever, but....like.....no.

I've heard people saying that, rather than an Apocalypse, it is a subtle change, and the earth is going to shift slightly, merely causing climate change, or that it's just the start of a new era.

I pity all the people who took this really far and are now penniless.

I will believe it when I see it, and even then I will be skeptical.
