So, what happened to all these "groups" I see people part of?

I've seen groups that people are part of on their profiles and I just decided to check the list of groups and none have been posted in for 2-4 years. What's the deal? Did people just lose interest or do they not function or what? They seem like an interesting idea but not if they're a dead idea.

They're social groups, which became part of the forums a few years ago. I think people just lost interest.

Hmm, seemingly, they have. Some people have told me even the forum has quieted down a lot the past few years. Maybe that has something to do with people losing interest in the groups.

Nah I believe it's rather the opposite. Personally I would like to see them gone. Maybe that'll happen the same time the Facebook like thing gets implanted.

I believe the main reason for the forums to become quieter is... FACEBOOK! A lot of things that used to be discussed on the forums, whether it's Offspring related or everyday life, now gets discussed on Facebook by the same people.

Oh, well that makes perfect sense. But seeing as how not all of us are connected on facebook, some of us are missing out.

I hope not ... even though I haven't used my group for some time and I can't speak for other groups, but we created great memories there, plus Jo is there

Here, I need to agree with you ... Facebook is always my first port of call. The BBS just seems to confirm everything I already know.

I wish that these groups still existed. I recently joined one or two, and quickly learned that they were DOA. But there is one group that I really like: the Pass Me By cult. It was hoppin'. Our Cultmaster, OC Hau, requested a sacrificial lamb, of which I delivered. We worshipped bats and Dexter. I convicted an unnamable member on crimes against the cult. Oh, those were the days, I tell you. It's invite only so anyone who wishes to join must be approved, but we welcome all true believers in PMB. See you in the Caves!
