I believe he means "I think differently now thanks to the Offspring."

How the Offspring changed his way of thinking I don't know. Kinda funny though, that he needed a band to become an independent thinker or whatnot.

No bands have changed my life in any significant way.

the offspring have changed my taste in music,
and since music is a big part of my life, you can
say they have *somewhat* changed my life.
i listened to the backstreet boys before i heard
the offspring in 1997. big change as you can
see.
