yes to stop spammers but they should have a level of leniancy and accept controversial messages.

I think that mods are a good idea, stops people like crapman from the old board filling up the forums with messages. Other than that, if its in the wrong section, move it, if it goes way off topic (eg, goes from a tour topic to something completely unrelated) close it, and if someone is being overly offensive, block them.
Basically there is no reason to do anything else.

God, slightly off topic, cool. Way off topic and what was a civilized conversation turns into a shit slinging fight, not so cool. But funny, those might need to be moved..

i think there should be one to watch the amount of threads on the same topic. It really angers me when theres 50 million threads all with the same topic in them.

But yeah, i dont think we should be banned for saying what we think or using words that others are offended by. In the long run if their offended they should just fuck off.
