Another Green Day Vs Offspring thread in disguise eh?

Hmmm...its an offspring forum, so it will deffinately be very biased.

If your comparing albums, Americana is better, though I don't think its the best offspring, it seems to have more variety of tracks, and more very high quality ones than American Idiot, in my opinion.
Track wise, Americana's better too, I find American Idiot not a bad track but its a little too repetitive.

comparing tracks: Americana is the better song. though i wouldn't take anything away from the song American Ididot. both of these songs have strong social commentary that need to be heard. Americana for its commentary of culture and its examination of "cool" in American culture. and American Idiot for its political commentary and criticism of President Bush. Americana is more timeless, and American Idiot is frozen in time.
