I was just wondering about all the interests of people on the forum. Just talk about what you do in your spare time or something*.
I don't know if this has already been done, but if so, I don't give a damn.
*No gay porn.

gAY PORN! W00t!
no. fixing up my car is taking most of my time at present. got the mp3 deck in today. speakers later on, then it needs to be lowered, 17 inch rims from a mates old car, a bodykit and a respray.
it's kind of a running project. no way could i afford it all at once. :D
playing guitar, and building guitars is also a passtime of mine.
I also noticed that your asking people to post their passtimes, yet you do not post your own.

Most favourite would probably be picking up at least basics from all kinds of foreign languages.
I love hanging out with some people, just going out for a drink or two. Then go to clubs sometimes and dance till 5am.
I like writing when I'm in the mood. I don't always like the results because I'm very self-critical but I love the process of putting down ideas on paper and its catharsising effect.
Books can be awesome too if you read the right ones.
And any kind of international work where you get to meet and work with people of different backgrounds. Making projects, discussions, creating new ideas and all that stuff.

My interests include being an arrogant ego-maniac and kicking ass.
No, seriously, I like languages, books (pretty much in generel), music, movies, pretty people, pretty stuff, make up, shoes (as of recently), travelling, big citites, little restaurants with amazing atmosphere, gay fanfiction (I swear I actually do like it, damn Sanni *shakes fist*), funny stuff (but please, not retarded), history, philosophy, art, conspiracy theories, hanging out, flirting like an idiot, generally being an idiot (in a very positive way, mind you), british humor and many more...

I did use to read books but kinda got off the habit. I read long Stephen King books over a longer period of time. I am currently reading IT by Stephen King. And my back feels damp.
I'm not a big fan of modern literature, and I avoid horror books/movies pretty much all the time. I'm easily spooked :/

I'm not a big fan of modern literature, and I avoid horror books/movies pretty much all the time. I'm easily spooked :/
I only read horror since they are interesting to me. Stupid childish horror like the Goosebumps series are just awful, but Stephen King style horror is actually really good - it is different. It's just that all these classic novels would bore me since they don't interest me in the slightest and so I cannot concentrate on a book if I don't find it interesting. The only classic novel I like is George Orwell's 1984 - tis a good book.
Preecey
06-19-2005, 06:36 AM
I read a lot of Terry Pratchett (which is comedy/fantasy) and recently read The Da Vinci Code. I don't tend to like horror books but Stephen King is supposed to be really good.
I've read Stephen King, and he spooked me, so that's a no-no.
We're apparently the complete opposites when it comes to book taste, I cvan't find horror particularly amusing, only spooky/scary, and that's not something I like. I prefer being left in a state of mental chaos after reading some deranged Russian books :p
But to each his own ;)

Interests would be music... in any shape or form; writing, playing, listening, viewing live stuff, festivals, purchasing :)... also love literature, mostly writing poetry, lyrics and stories... love anything films; making, watching, discussing, analysing... love art, again drawing and painting, brilliant way of escaping... dunno what else really, I dabble in things like politics and am always enthralled by discussing things like that and philosophy, etc...

i have lots of penpals, which is nice. sewing, knitting, making random things like.. earring holders! shopping, reading, archaeology..
I read a lot of Terry Pratchett (which is comedy/fantasy) and recently read The Da Vinci Code. I don't tend to like horror books but Stephen King is supposed to be really good.
Terry Pratchett I have read. Funny, hilarious in some parts, but not quite my type - I am not into fantasy. I read The Lord Of The Rings twice and even though it was gripping in parts, I still didn't understand it very well until I saw the film. It's just that I am not into fantasy so much.

06-19-2005, 07:05 AM
Yeah, I read LOTR too, but the film compacts it nd makes it easier to understand. Pity they didn't have the hobbit brawl at the end though. That would have been awesome!
Oh, and has anyone read the Hitchhikers series?
(To Vicky) Yeah, most of that list I like too.

i really like music. i like listening different bands and singers, i like playing piano, flute and a little bit cello. and all kinds of animals. i like talking a lot but sometimes listening smart people's conversations would be nice too. like every girl i love shopping. kick-boxing, tennis are my fave sports. and reading (i prefer classics). flirting with nice guys. oh, and sleeping, it's my favourite.
I enjoy watching television alot. My fav shows include: 24, Buffy, Angel, Stargate and some others.
I'm also quite into the world of physics. I enjoy reading on new advances and stuff and am reading some layman books right now.
I enjoy jurisprudence and writing jurisprudence essays and such. I also like just acquring knowledge. Just to understand something.
I think everyone here knows I'm into computers. I'm a tech head. I have an awesome hifi setup and various other tech stuff. I constantly tweak my home cinema setup too.
Working out passes alot of my time. I work out 4 times a week and my eating is geared around that. So it does take quite a lot of my time up.
I dunno what else. All that seems pretty anti social. I actually do enjoy my job too when people are chatty. But I find that I don't like being around people so much unless I'm really comfortable with them. I enjoy going out too, sometimes clubs, sometimes prefer pubs. Most times I prefer pubs if going with good mates.
I also enjoy handjobs.
Edit: how could I forget! Hockey. I'm a die hard fan. I support the Wings. When there is a season it takes up a lot of my time.

I love listening to music a lot, mostly rock in general, but sometimes I listen to rap too. Eh, I can listen to a lot of stuff from different genres. As long as they're good. =P
I really like doing stuff on the computer. Like downloading stuff from LimeWire, listening to music or to different channels on Winamp Radio, watching movies or cartoons or comedy shows or whatever (stuff that I download from LimeWire, of course =P), playing games, especially Sims, posting on this BBS, talking to a certain someone on the internet and other stuff.
I enjoy reading horror books (the only kind of books that I actually like) especially stuff by Stephen King and John Saul, but pretty much anything that's horror. Right now I'm reading Psycho by Robert Bloch and from what I've read so far, it's an awesome book.
I also enjoy going shopping, but that doesn't happen much due to the lack of money. Grr.
I pretty much like being indoors. Meh, not much of an outgoing girl. I prefer being inside listening to music or sleeping. But I would like to get out more since I want to learn how to skateboard.
And, umm, I can't think of other stuff. Meh, I don't have many interests cause I get bored easily.

i love to decorate my room/other rooms // make gifts/cards and so on
i enjoy writing in my journal
photography + philosophy. the first one i plan on doing more often when my digital camera arrives, and the second i try to grasp with my philosophy classes.
i also love going for walks, swimming (LATELY!! but not in swimming pools, only lakes/similar), cooking and talking on the phone.

18 is WINTER at your place?! It goes below zero in the UK. I was only really uncomfortable as I was indoors, and indoors is always hotter unless you have air con.
Ah the wonders of Australia! I was chatting last nite to Gayman and he lives in finland- it gets around -20 in the winter apparently!!!

There's a new album?! I have Start Something and I plan to get their first. It is funny how they aren't mentioned so much though. There is a thread on them in Other Bands.
As I said...they haven't advertised it but they're working on it. It's just their next albulm...

You mean pyromania? I like flames. And lightning.

No no I don't like actual fire. I recently had a damaging experience....where I nearly set my house on fire. So no I'm not keen on fire. Just cartoon flames on things. Get me? Like on the CO1 symbol.
Preecey

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm no arsonist or pyromaniac, I just think the way flames move and lap around things looks really neat.

Yeah they do, when they're not destroying things. Contained and controlled fire is good. Otherwise it's not amusing

Right. Once my uncle (when he was bout 5ish) found some matches and set fire to his bed. Everyone else was fetching the water and everything, but he just thought it was funny.

what? who likes flames? i do, i used to love playing with fire when i was little. but one day i burnt my all of my brother's clothes 'accidently' and even if i'm still 16 parents don't let me even holding the matches. still sometimes when nobody's home i pour some cheap perfume on my table and burn it. it looks wonderful.

oh, one more thing. in fact i still feel ashamed of myself for doing it but once i poured alcohol on ants and burnt them. kids can be cruel sometimes.

I see that as an act of revenge. Ants once ate a pack of sugar from our cupboard. Sugar dammit! #gets fix#

I like drawing, but I'm not too good at it though. My dad is, strangely enough. Our house is full of landscapes.

i think there is no such thing as cant draw. i view it as just a different style.
i dont do landscapes much, i usually do things like dragons, pheonix's, demons, devil girls.....etc.

I used to draw a lot. I used to be good at trees, with the roots and stuff. Scenery, mainly.

Trees are great to do when you know how. My dad could really paint the branches well and everything, so I tried to do that. I don't know if I still can, though.

Horses are really hard. All mind end up looking like a strangely deformed dog with a mane fixation.

Yeah, maybe. My dad did this really good pic of the Matterhorn in the Alps, so I'll see if I get it decently photographed.

yeah, it's pretty hard but when you use a real horse as a model it becomes easier. and more enjoyable.
