Hey guys, I see quite a lot of you guys are into offspring covers, well, my band was recorded doing a cover of "(Can't Get) My Head Around You)" Live at a music festival here in UK for Aston University.

Basically, we're a five piece pop-punk band fronted by a girl, and I love hearing our singer sing the Offspring. The track is recorded live, and you can't hear the lead guitar well at all (so the WAH solo you cant really hear) but you can hear the rhythm (hence to intro you CAN hear)

All the guitar stuff occurs because my amp (The lead amp) was loud enough to not need micing up, hence it was never recorded.

any way, check it out, and remember it's live:

It's a fair enough comment to make, but you have to remember it sounded way better live as that recording was taken straight from the PA - which is EQ'd and all the rest of it for a 600 capacity venue, so sounded better live.

Cheers!! Sounded great on stage (dunno about off stage, people said it sounded good, but you can never tell if thats honesty) and the crowd got a kick out of it.

If you listen really carefully, you can hear our singer just finishing a laugh... We dedicated the song to my ex, who was, for want of a better word, a F**King nut job

hmm.. I don't know about the singer. She kind of just blurted out all the words like this

Uh.. whatever, I guess I can't describe it that well, it was just weird though. But I find cgmhay a really difficult song to sing though so good job +

I thought it was alright. I'm not going to judge, because my band can't exactly play together. It always falls apart, so it's a good job. Although, I must say, your singer didn't seem to have much rythm to when she sung. I don't mind as much as many of the younger kids posting here do.

I'm not kidding my mom just walked by and said "What the hell are you listening to?"

I personally thought the singing wasn't to great but everything else seemed pretty exceptional.

Im finding the feed back REALLY interesting!!! For those of you that can't stand the accent, where are you from?

Thanks to all of you who say that you dont "mind it too much" It's really nice to get both oppinions - it's how you grow and learn from you're mistakes. Im finding that none die-hard Offspring fans (What the hell is wrong with those guys!!! ?) quite like it, whilst die hards find it harder to accept a woman singing.

Im not overly keen on the vocals on that live recording myself - I know what she CAN do, but I think it always cool to hear another bands stab at a song we all know and love

the ironic thing is, the people paying out the accent are all from alabama.

I don't have a problem with the woman singer, I just think she slurs it at times and her pitch seemed a little off at times. But overall I'd give it maybe a 7/10. (A better recording would be an 8.) Maybe I just think she sings a little low for me or something. I just don't like her singing style. :(

When I figured out how to play "The Kids aren't alright" I found that it is in fact quite difficult to mimic Dexter's scream even though I am a girl. But I love screaming to Gone Away my fave song.

It sounds strange cause it's a girl. Pretty cool though. I was about to say its sounds like there are drums and the girl singing on top of an MIDI.
