Ok I don't think there is a thread about this artist so yeah, who likes him? Favourite song? etc. I have 2 of his albums (Mellow Gold & Guero) and my list of favourite songs are...

-New Pollution
-Where It's At

-E-Pro

I like Beck, but I don't love Beck. He has some great songs but is horribly inconsistent and I don't think he's ever released an album that was worth listening to from beginning to end.

I sorta' agree with you, well for Mellow Gold as I did have slightly higher expectations for it. But I cannot apply it to Guero though, it's an amazing album.

barangatang, Beck is just one person. and that's beck. He has some people do minor things though, like the dust brothers. I love beck, My favourite songs are E-Pro Girl, and everything off of Mellow gold.. I have Mellow gold Guero and Odelay. He is very inconsistent though, the only album I can listen to from start to finish is Mellow gold. The rest of them are half crap and half awesome.

I haven't heard much of him, but from what I've heard I really like Where It's At, Loser and E-pro. I really like the guitar style in Loser. It reminded me of Bad To The Bone for some reason..

Beck is a cool dude, but sometimes his music gets a little annoying.

Get Odelay. Great album. Reccomended song: High 5 (Rock the Catskills)

I actually purchased Odealy quite recently and I have to say it's my favourite album by him, also I'm actually started to get into Mellow Gold, it's one of those albums you have to listen a few times before getting into.
