I like some of the old Green Day. My favourites are When I Come Around, Waiting and Hitching A Ride.

IMO, the only good tracks from the latest album is Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I hate their latest stuff, though that's just me.

Greenday is the first band who introduced me into music so yes I am a big Greenday fan. My favorite song is When You Come Around.
I stopped listen to them at Warning album.

Hitchin' A Ride and Armatage Shanks are two of my favorite songs in general. I thought American Idiot was brilliantly written, but Nimrod is my favorite Green Day album. They grew up. :p

Warning used to be my favorite. Yes, I like their mellow stuff alot..

They are my second favorite band.

I'm not a huge Green Day fan, but I like them. I only have Dookie and 1039 Smoothed out Slappy Hours or whatever the hell it's called. My favorite song is probably Longview or When I Come Around.

Because he likes The Offspring as well as Green Day. Is that illegal? Plus, he made it pretty clear that is was his favorite song by GREEN DAY. Not his favorite song ever.

The whole title is 'Wake Me Up When September Ends', by the way. That's one of my favorites on American Idiot. I like St. Jimmy best, personally.

Green Day is cool, I have their full discography. But I like most The Offspring. My favorite song from GD is maybe Redundant, or Time Of Your Life... I like Nimrod a lot, it's my favorite album by them.

That doesn't mean they sold out. It just means the other ones weren't really intended to be punk. This one IS pop-punk, but it's closer to real punk than all the other pop-punk bands out there right now.

1,039, kerplunk!, dookie, and insomniac are the only cds by them worth listening to. That doesn't mean that all the songs are good, it just means the ratio of good to bad songs is much more promising than on the other albums.

Doesnt make you more of a fan because you know his cats name lol I've been a Green Day fan for almost 8 years and I didn't need to know that to make myself a bigger fan.

Anyway, Green Day has been one of the best live shows i've ever seen, plus theyre very god at what they do, almost flawless on stage.

yeah, Im a really big greenday fan, i was at a concert of theirs in england, few weeks ago (had to fly over from ireland) It was the best show i have ever seen, but i havn't seen offspring yet ;) , my fave greenday song is either time of your life, waiting or hitchin' a ride, their new stuff is great too.

Green Day are one of my favourite bands. I saw them in Feb in UK and they were pretty damm cool. Though i cant see The Offspring in September, im not aloud. I like Judges Daughter, Too Much Too Soon, Warning, Chump but Longview is the best (in my view)

I'm going to post the same thing I do in every anti Green day Thread:

I dislike green day, but not because they're popular. I've hated them since kerplunk, so don't give me shit about it. Really though, I think its stupid to make a whole thread about this. You should only make a thread about a band if you like the band. Otherwise it's just a waste of space.

also, i think this proves that not only retards hate green day. But honestly, those people were retards before they'd even heard of green day.

let me explain my thoughts a little more. As of about a year ago, the offspring have sold way more albums than Green Day has. This would suggest that the offspring was more well liked, but This statistic has probably changed due to American Idiot. I think that The album American Idiot is somewhat of a fad, but there are also many true fans who love the album. And all of the older albums had fans loving them. They'res no denying it, Green Day is a very sucessful band, and a popular one at that. If you don't like them, don't listen to them, don't be a dickhead about it.

I think it may have been Dookie that sold more, but The Offspring sold the most albums on an indie label. Green Day was picked up by Reprise after Kerplunk.

I proudly put my Green Day poster right next to my Offspring poster on my wall. I like both bands because their music is amazing, I doesn't fucking matter about the label or who's popular, I mean come on if not for both bands success and popularity 99.99% of you people would have never heard of them, its not a bad thing to be popular it justs means more people get to hear your music. Oh and my favorite Green Day song is Hitchin' A Ride to get back on the earlier subject.

I don't mind Green Day, I used to be a big fan, just kind of grown out of it now, though. Every once in a while I have moments, though.

green day is not a great band.... anyway, i like, i used to be a green dya fan but... then they made american idiot.... i liked the song american idiot... i listened to it in the radio, and the next day i found myself buying the album....
for two reasons... i liked american idiot (the song) and i liked most of the other albums.... but when i listened to the complete cd i was like "wha?! this is green day?! you gotta be kiddin..."
they made a great job with dookie and kerplunk... and warning.... minority is my favourite song... but nowadays... when you say "i'm a green day fan" everybody says "oh yeah!! i'm a huge fan of green day! i love it! blah blah blah, i love blvd of broken dreams and whatsername and blah.... what's your favourite song" and then i say "minority" and they say "what's that?"

it seems like there are two green days ...and i like the first one... because the new green dya really sux...

I like Green Day A lot. I think they're overrated, though. I don't think American Idiot deserved to win the Grammy for best rock album of the year.I think it was in 2nd place. Velvet Revolver Contraband deserved the grammy for best rock album of the year. The slow songs on that CD are much better. Also, Dookie is really overrated. Other than the 5 radio hits and "Pulling Teeth", there aren't any really good songs on it.That album, as a whole, really disappointed me. Also, I HATE the song Good Riddance(Time Of Your Life). That's probably the worst song ever to be played on the radio. But their greatest hits CD is longer than Offspring's, and most of their songs are really good.My favorite song by them is Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.

I saw them live in March at the Sydney Superdome, and it was a priviledge. I'd pay double what I did to see them again they were absolutely unbelievable, i think even people who hate them would have had the time of there lives. I've also Offspring and Avril Lavigne live and you know Offspring actually had the least crowd participation. There really isn't a live changing experience at an Offspring concert like there is at a Green day one. When I saw them they had Simple Plan supporting, they were actually alright.
