mostly due to How was I (er, I mean, how was this this "Not Ozymandias" fellow) to know that they wouldn't find "cocksucker" a term of endearment? I thought everyone watched Deadwood! :( i picked up the first season of deadwood on dvd. must say, very good. and the scene where mister wu was attempting to describe to al how the dope was stolen was priceless.

<.< i blow a lot of cash on dvds...
but oh so enjoyable! deadwood i got for my birthday though. my *latest* purchases are Revolution OS (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0308808/), a four year old documentary on linux which wasn't all that bad even though i knew the history already and i didn't know that Eric Raymond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Raymond) was so hideously ugly, and The Laramie Project (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0257850/), a movie based on interviews made for a play by the same name investigating the reactions to the murder of Matthew Shepard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard) by the folk of Laramie, Wyoming.
anyway, deadwood is awesome, everyone should check it out.
cocksucker.

i download some, but i prefer to support programming i enjoy by voting for it with cash. i downloaded the second season of carnivale (because it's not on dvd yet), i downloaded venture bros (again, not on dvd), garhard reinke's wanderlust (not going to be released), clone high (suppose to be released eventually), etc etc...
dvd sales influence the continuation of some shows. the reason there's going to be a firefly movie is due to the high dvd sales. family guy is back on the air due to dvd sales. carnivale was canceled mostly due to a lack of dvd sales (or so hbo said, along with rising production costs)...
I dunno, I download shows but I only ever watch them once. And to be honest I'm not gonna fork out the amount they're asking to support my show. I mean if I could actually just pay for the show not all the gay overheads, I'd be fine with that. Just like music.
I never seen Firefly, I guess I should take a look cause of Joss Wheldon since I'm a Buffy/Angel fan.

Whenever I'm at work or going to work or when I'm doing something else I hate I always hear Swearengen's voice in my head, telling me, "That's what the fuck life is: one vile fucking task after another."

I love the show, but is it just me or are the new episodes just getting shown in the UK shorter than the last series?
Since we're quoting, I liked the bit where they were putting their money together for the smallpox vaccine
AL: I'll put in $500
E.B: I'll put in $2...
AL: Eb, you better be fucking joking
E.B: ...Hundred...
Dunno why, but that bit constantly cracks me up.

I've only caught a few episodes, but I liked what I saw. It kept bugging me though because Swearengen seemed really familiar to me. Then I noticed the actor's name and it dropped into place. Lovejoy! English people will hopefully know what I'm talking about. Very strange seeing him in such a different role.
Random fact: Lovejoy did a lot of filming in a village about a mile from where I grew up.

Finally saw the 2nd season, it's absolute tits. I love that the show finally acknowledged how fucked up, creepy and sad Bullock is. 3rd season is airing soon, I desperately wish I new how to find pirated TV shows.
I weep to think they'll likely be no 4th season, while crap like The Sopranos (you heard) will be on forever.
"Pain or damage don't end the world - or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you die. Until then you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man...and give some back."
-Mr. Swearengen
I want that tattooed on my back.

Hopefully the characters will continue to do the exact same thing as they have for the last 20 years. Fuck HBO. With a dry cock.
