the fact that I hardly used to browse this forum, doesn't mean I'd think so low of the people that DO browse it. it just means I play in a band, that wouldn't interest anyone here, so it'd be kind of useless to pimp it here, now wouldn't it? besides I feel absolutely no need to do so.

& why I would want to moderate this forum? I actually typed out an ACTUAL answer to that question, but nevermind, I'm not even going to bother.

I agree with your point that your musical opinions whould have no bearing on this forum if you are to moderate it with fairness, but maybe I don't see how your previous thread doesn't completely contradict that assertion?

ahh, pieces are definitely falling into place. I figured it had something to do with the other topic.

let me tell you, as I said in the topic itself; I didn't make it. I *could've* made it, because we all were incredibly drunk at the Amsterdam meet-up, plus the topic still seems pretty goddam hilarious to me, but I didn't. a *certain* very 1337 & awesome person, who was at the meet-up, made it.

my band wouldn't interest anyone here, because it's a gypsy-band. the only one who's seriously into that kind of music (as far as I know), is Per & killer_queen. & there's no use in pimping a Dutch student gypsy-band, because it's not going to become popular anywhere else in the world anyway. & it's not our ambition either. =)

we don't have any lyrics. it's purely musical, or acoustic, or how you'd say that. the band consists of a contrabase, two violins (first & second), a viola, a clarinette, a piano & a cimbal. if you'd like, I could post up a song by us some time.

it goes on forever & ever, so it seems, but if you pay close attention, you hear it goes faster & faster every time. me & the pianiste were basically doing a very unfair little race, who could play the fastest. but she only plays chords & I had to play my goddam ass off. it was mighty fun though. I almost lost the race, like you might hear, but then I got back on track & kicked her butt. ;)
