Limewire fucked up Java on this computer, and now my dad can't play Texas Hold 'Em on Pogo.com. He's REALLY pissed, and won't let me on here until it's fixed. So...why am I here now? Because nothing else is working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, I installed the fucking Microsoft VM, and I read and did every fucking help thing I could find. I worked on this for at least 12 hours, and nothing's working. When I try to verify the installation of Java, on java.com, it says it couldn't find it, even though it's clearly displayed in the bottom right hand corner (bar). Please, does anyone know how the fuck to make Java fucking work?

I have AOL, and it like...fucking...changed the preferance or something...but I changed the preferance back and it still doesn't work.

make sure you install the browser plugin too.

Yeah, it goes damn slow like every program that runs under Java environment. Use Emule, it's the best, IMHO

Soulseek is officially my PSP of choice. I like Kazaa Lite (the program itself) more, but the selection is weaker and 90% of the songs you download from it are jarbled and fucked up.

That's weird; usually, when you install the JRE, you're asked on which internet browsers you want to install the plugin. Have you dwnloaded the Java-Sun J2SE? (it includes JRE)

yep, it's better... I'm using 1.4.2 'cause that's the version they use on my university, so it's better to have the same (at least the same JSDK) :o

Limewire has never cause any problems for my computer. =/

What does PSP stand for? Do you mean p2p?

Soulseek is awesome because you could find almost any song in there. It's good for finding the rare stuff that can't be found on other programs. I really despise Kazaa lite for music now. It used to be good a long time ago but every song is fucked up now. It's still okay for finding videos and programs though.
