Pennywise. I don't know, I bought the Punkrock Songs album and there is something about BR that I don't really like. I can't quite place my finger on it. Maybe it's that clean-cut sound or his voice. I don't get me wrong, though they are one hell of a band.

i love bad religion, but i just listen to Pennywise more and i enjoy them more i guess

yeah, for some reason i didnt like them at first either. then they kinda grew on me, and now theyre one of my favortie bands.
EDIT: but i still slightly prefer pennywise

Bad Religion because they've been around the longest and have too many good songs. Pennywise is good, but B.R. is better.

Shattered Faith? Los Angeles is Burning? You should get some older Bad Religion CDs.

Anyway, I like Bad Religion more. Sometimes I find Pennywise annoying, but that's because I don't own any albums before Straight Ahead.

Same with me but I think BR are better. So Pennywise cannot get into Canada for some reason....weird...

Bad religion kicks ass and they are better in the sense that they are a Punk icon, considering that they were one of the first bands in the punk rock movement and Brett G. started Epitaph (awesome label; brought us smash). However, like 80% of bad religion's cds had one awesome song and the rest was TERRIBLE. Pennywise on the other hand is a band i have always described as 'taking the style of the very best offspring songs and using it in EVERY song' EVERY pennywise song if heard separately would be amazing. So... I gotta say pennywise.

They both sound extremely similar but Bad Religion came about 10 years before Pennywise so I'll have to go with Bad Religion. Besides, every Pennywise song sounds the same.

Both of these aren't that great really, but Bad Religion is ten times better than Pennywise. I like two Pennywise songs. OOOH...

I don't think so. No Substance and New America aren't that great, but I loved The Empire Strikes First.

What are you talking about? The Process Of Belief and The Empire Strikes First are amazing. The New America sucked, but I think they got better as they got older.

Really? Cause The New America was horrible, and I only heard bits and pieces of the albums since. I've listened to them, but not entirely, and was bored with what I heard.

I might give another listen...

The Empire Strikes First wasn't bad. It's just... it's Bad Religion.

They broaden out a bit in that album, though - it's more interesting. Plus I love the beginning of Sinister Rouge.
