Rancid has always been one of my favorites, but I never did listen to them all that much.

My Rancid 2000 CD (the one with Axiom on it...FUCK that song is good) has been played so many times it's not funny. I memorized all the words to more than half of that album. (Disgruntled, Rwanda, Corruption, Rattlesnake, Not To Regret, Axiom, Dead Bodies Everywhere...Loki...Poison..don't make me continue), and I adored it.

I finally recovered my "Let's Go!" CD, which was stolen from me when I was like, 12 years old or some shit. OH MY GOD, I missed this album. I feel like a happy little kid listening to it right now.

Anyway, it's good to remember how much I loved these guys. What are your favorite Rancid albums/songs?

Oh, and I still say Indestructible was a little on the boring side.

Rancid actually formed in my home town. I met Tim Armstrong walking down telegraph, and I've gone to many of their shows.

Thanks for making this thread!

Rancid is my all time favourite band. Favourite album is probably Lets Go. Although it always changes. My first album was Self Titled (2000) and thats what really got me into them. Radio Havana, Dead Bodies, Attennas, fuck the whole cd is incredible. My favourite all time song is..... hmmm I can't think of one. Indestructible is probably their worst album, IMO. Life won't wait is pretty good if your into the whole reggae/ska thing. ...And out come the wolves is really catchy. Some people say it is overrated, but it's the one Cd I will take everywhere. Self titled (1993) is OK. Lars adds a lot to the band and he's not there for that album. Favourite songs consist of: Dead Bodies, Maxwell Murder, Time Bomb, Ruby Soho, Radio, Dope Sick Girl, Hooligans, Black Lung, Nihilism, and so many more.

If Indestructible is their album from a couple of years ago, then I can see how people don't like it. I heard a couple of songs, and they turned me away from Rancid.

Yeah it is. Thats not Rancid's regular sound trust me. Nothing compared to the self titled 2000 release.

On that note, I'll make sure to check out their other albums.

I never really heard that much of their stuff. I'll have to check out some of those songs mentioned above later.

right now I just have their album ...And Out Come the Wolves. I really like that album. My brother has Let's Go, hopefully I can get that album from him. I really like Rancid mainly because of their sound. Its different from the stuff I usually listen to, it has some variety.

I really like Rancid. I got into them in about middle school because I saw 'Ruby Soho' on MTV. I loved that song. Out Come the Wolves is probably my favorite record by them. Let's Go and Rancid 2000 are amazing, as well. 'Time Bomb' is probably close to my favorite song by them, now. I can understand why people despised Indestructable but I guess I didn't mind it as much as everyone else.

Its not that I didn't like it. It just doesn't compare do any of their other work. I listen to it the least probably. There are a few good songs though.

I quite like Rancid, though I've only got ...And Out Come The Wolves. My band covers Maxwell Murder at jam sessions to warm up, awesome song that is? Are they still going?

I grew up listening to Rancid. I remember when I was around 9 or so I would always steal my sister's cd and she would get kind of mad. I think that secretly she was happy I actaully liked them. I do not have any Rancid cds anymore though. They all "mysteriously" vanished. I want to listen to them now.

edit Let's Go is one of my favorite Rancid CDS

Best. Punk. Bassist. Ever. Don't argue. Seriously, I'll kill you.

I haven't bought any cd's yet no matter how much I want to. but I'm addicted to the songs Fall Back Down, Maxwell Murder, and Time Bomb. So I'll get around to it soon.

(funny thing, you ever notice how when Tim is saying, 'Ruby Soho' over and over, It sounds like Ruby's a ho? I know a girl named ruby, so I laughed.

I like Chris #2 better. I suppose he's not technically better though, so whatever.

Anywho, I do admit to being quite a fan of Radio. That's a great song. Do they have any songs that are in a similar style to that one?

I have the original self titled, let's go, and out come the wolves. I like them all, but not really to the point of love anymore. I used to be downright obsessed with them. I really want to get Life Won't Wait because I've recently fallen in love with ska music and desperately want more.

I know that I hated Out Come The Wolves, excluding Ruby Soho, Time Bomb & Maxwell Murder. I'll probably buy Let's Go since the LG songs I've heard are 10x better...

My sister is quite a big fan of them. I borrowed her personal favourite, Indestructable and what is regarded as their best, And Out Come The Wolves. I thought they were OK alongside several really good songs off each album, then recently got bored of them. I have gotten into them again now, and I might borrow Let's Go off her too.
