Does anyone like this band? Some guy sent me two of their CDs in the mail, and I'm this close to writing it off as generic British new wave. Why should I bother with this stuff when I already like Joy Division, The Smiths, The Cure, early U2, etc.?

I saw Echo And The Bunnymen in concert once. Unfortunately, their microphone busted out on them, and they only played 1.5 songs. But they sounded pretty good.

Well, once you've heard it all before, sometimes it's hard to get into a new band, even though you might still like the music in the same genre that you were initially introduced to as it caught your attention much more at the time.
