I'm not sure to be honest with you, I'm having problems trying to put my finger on when exactly it was recorded. Was it by any chance written and produced between the transition from Americana to Conspiracy of One? Perhaps even earlier....
Either way I don't think it was ever a song that was left off an album, raher it's one of those songs thats written in between album productions, for example like 'Can't Repeat' and 'Defy You'.

Because it's a B-side. I think it's on the soundtrack for "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

it was recorded for ixnay on the hombre, but was never used. probobly because they didnt think it fit the album. same with how pay the man was made for ixnay on the hombre but they didnt think it fit the album so they used it later for americana.

I was actually thinking that DUI seems like an Ixnay style song. They should have made it a single. The video would be awesome.

Sounds a bit like 'Kick Him When He's Down' to me. Maybe that's one reason.

For whatever reason, it didn't make the cut. It's a good song, but the past is gone, and simply because they should have done something, doesn't mean it can happen now. Bands often make more songs than they intend to put on the album, purely for having more choice, so they feel they can choose the best ones to on there.
