No...it really is a voice. Dexter says like :"Humm" or "mmm" at the point. He does it live too.
But on many song on SMASH there are these voices. Listen to these songs:

The female scream thats heard near the end of the song is actually the producer stabbing the model on the cover to death after she came in angry because after making the album cover which was her naked with her honey pouring down her body. The Bradley thing is from a TV show. It was this cartoon that went for like 5 minutes but I forgot what it was called.
