Last weekend I bought a copy of "The Offspring" (the Album) from a charity shop in Edinburgh.
I already had a copy of the album, but here is the bit that interested me:
The Album has 11 tracks. There is an extra one called "Kill the President". The album is dated 1995.
Why does this album have an extra track? Is there some sinister story behind it?

wrong. The album was released as a vinyl in -89 with 11 tracks, re-released in -95 on Nitro Records as a CD, and kill the president was removed from the album sometime after the terrorattacks in NYC

Yeah.. If you didn't know this: There is no cd version on the world that date to -89, because it was released as a cd in -95. it's first release was in -89 as a vinyl.
PS: Sorry for being such a smartass pointdexter

I didn't know it was released on vinyl but I did know my cd said 1995. I guess that is just the copyright date. I just think it is lame that in Canada the song is off the cd.

They took it off after the 9/11 attacks because it just seemed inappropriate to have that song on there during such an infamous event that effected the whole nation. God damn, why do you kids need everything spelled out for you?
PS: I've got mine with "Kill The President" na na na na na na ha ha ha ha ha ha.

i've got the one which includes kill the president (i bought it in 1999), but i didn't know it has been removed now. anyway, i think it's a bit stupid to remove it from the cd. in USA everything is taken too seriously, i think. it's only a song, not an atomic bomb, what you are buying...
