uhh, i have a question. i got the offspring video collection dvd a short while ago (that's cause things arrive late in my country. argh.) and i tried playing it today in my computer and it doesn't work. my computer supports dvds so...
do you know how to solve the problem? or do you know a good dvd free player? cause i tried playing the cd with all my players and they don't support the dvd.

thanks in advance.

Did you order it from a coutnry you do not live in? that might be the reason. i cannot play DVDs from America at all, only european ones.

The American System is called NTSC, Europe uses PAL... it wont work if you try to cross those codes

well i'm in europe, so i bought an european version. so it should work, right? but it doesn't.
and umm, i don't really get the code thing. :o

Hmmm well it might be if you live like in Romania, that its using a 3rd code or whatever.

Those codes are country codes. America uses a different one than Europe

Your computer (or DVD-Rom player) uses a different video code than the DVD's

Np.. but remember, after all i was just assuming your problem. maybe i am totally wrong.... try using a different dvd player before putting it on ebay for auction, or whatever your are gonna do with it.

i don't know any good dvd player. but i guess google can help.

and no, if it doesn't work, i'll just keep it. cause i'll think of it as a collection piece :P. and maybe someday, my dad is going to buy me a dvd player. on which the dvd will work. hopefully.

Maybe there is something wrong with the DVD itself. Take it back with the receipt and explain what's going on. If they don't understand, get them to try it on the instore DVD player or whatever. If it works, it's your computer, if it doesn't, it's the DVD itself. Or take it to a friends place, make sure they have a DVD player and try it. Same results.

well, umm, it would be kind of hard to go all the way back to switzerland. plus i threw the receipt just because i bought it from another country. :|
but the trying it at a friends place idea is kinda good. thanks.

i don't get what the word wong means.
if you actually mean wrong, i believe that this is an offspring related thread. but please, correct me if i'm wrong. with correct spelling so i can understand, if it's not too much of a hassle.
