Ok, So I just bought one, amazing guitar. It has no tremolo which means no whammy bar. Now, I have been looking at some pics, and I've noticed some have pics of Noodles playing a talman that is wrapped in duct tape WITH a whammy bar. Now, is that just a random talman that Noodles rigged up himself or is it some sort of uber NDM2 or something? I want WHAMMY!

Since Noodles is, well, Noodles, I assume he can get lots of custom whatnot on his guitars.

Yeah I don't know what a whammy bar is either. Drummers, we're so behind the times.

Yeah, his is basically a customized one. NDMs that are for sale have no whammy bar.

Should I get a NDM1 guys? My other electric guitars are crap and I'm looking into buying a new one. Any recommendations? I want a cool offspringy sound 8-)
It's weird because if you watch All I want in the complete music dvd collection you see him using an SG looking NMD1. Anyone else notice this?

Oh, get one for sure. It's pretty cheap (about little over 400 American), it's light with a fast neck. 5 humbuckers, so you can play pretty much any kind of music on it. Fantabulistic guitar

this is my NDM1.so the ndm1 is noodles's signature guitar, they made a copy of his ductaped talman.it is a talman.sometimes noodles use it in shows,he is also using it in Cant repeat video.im sure you already figure it out but the ndm1 is a replicated of his tuctaped talman.he only use one ductaped talman.the question is,why when he use his ndm1 he have the whammy bar on it and not us?I understand what you mean but I cant anwser

Who cares about the whammy bar. Because I don't. I think that the bass guitar is the best one ever.

The NDM1 model has a fixed bridge, which means it has been screwed onto the body, which also means your sound is fatter because your body is 1 full piece of wood.
Noodles his guitar has a tremolo, which means the bridge (or tremolo) has a few springs in the back of guitar which means you can bend the strings, which isnt possible when the bridge is screwed onto the body. In his body (guitar body) is a hole which affects the sound of the guitar. (Not drastictly though).

I have a bunch of those guitars, some of them have been customized depending on the song I use them on. Some have whammys, some don't. Others were made before the NDM1 was even an idea. The NDM1 was based on what I had the custom shop make me for the road.
We are currently working on a new model based on my black Talman-the one with all the stickers on it that I play "Head around you," "Hit That," "Long Way Home," and a few others on. This guitar should debut at NAMM this January. This guitar is very true to the original, and I'm stoked with it. Similar pickup configuration as the NDM1, but different body shape.
Hope you like it.

I puted the Tone zone pickup in my NDM1 and the sound is just amazing, I really like it,I dint really liked the original pickup of the NDM1.My nephew is 9 year old and when he saw my guitar he asked me '' why your guitar is made of tape?''

Sounds sexy. What's NAMM?
Also, more importantly, is there a moderator's discount? ;)

NAMM is held every year at the Anaheim Convention Center, its where a bunch of musicians have a giant orgy.
i mean, companies show their brand new products for the year. Very La-De-Da

I think it's just a standard Talman. I read that somewhere - but I don't memorize all of my offspring info.
As for the NDM1 - meh. Not my type of guitar. I find the volume knob to be way, WAY too close to the strings, and I end up violinning without meaning to. Which usually doesn't sound good.
Oh new ndm!? Sounds sweet. Can anybody upload a picture of the guitar with that hes basing it off of? (The black talman with the stickers) And noodles, what made you want to come out with a new one?
Edit: Wow its been like 6 months since you have posted last, what made you want to come back here?

Oh...my...god... Another Noodles sig guitar?! I want it!!! But you haven't given me enough time to fully enjoy this one yet! Haha. Well, I must say I am pleased. Noodles, my fav guitarist of all time ever, answered my question. The guy from the lost prophets wouldn't even give my brother the time of the day at a concert, just told him to fuck off. I'm satisfied with my life now. Well, I will be once I see the Offspring live.
