It's looking more and more like Angels and Airwaves is becoming a more permanent thing for atom than The Offspring.

I think it'd be really cool if Noodles could step in here if he gets online sometime soon. Perhaps just let all us guys have an idea of what's going on? We know The Offspring are preparing a new album and as mentioned above it sounds as though Atom's now established a long term commitment to Angels and Airwaves.

We should just take Josh Freese on the next tour if Atom's not available, he layed down some awesome drums on Splinter, look at that intro to The Noose for example!!

If its Toms ambition to have the album out and "take over the world" with a tour as he says in 2006, Atoms gunna have a tough time staying with the Offspring, especially since he was talking about wanting to be in A&A in 5 years time...

Well like I have said earlier, you can't be in two big bands, you can have smaller side pojects but Tom has talk about this band a lot and how it's supposed to come the biggest american rock band and what not, so I'm seeing hard time at Atom staying at the Offspring, it seems to be impossible unless the Offspring would tour in 2008 or something next time.

Atom posted here a few months back that he wouldn't leave The Offspring, so. I don't know if he still means it, but what the heck, we'll see how this turns out, there isn't anything you can do about it so.

But I think it would suck big time if Atom will leave the Offspring. But that's life, I guess.

It was on www.vater.com. Actually, before that one guy came to be board claiming he was an acquaintance of Higgins and heard from Higgins that Ron was leaving, no one believed it of course. Well, he was right and I think the guy got even banned, ha. Then the vater site informed about it, and still no one believed. The reporter from vater had some connections to Ron if I recall right. Rumours went on and on but when the time passed it settled down, even topics got deleted involving Ron's leaving. Noodles was online plenty of times and he was asked if Ron's going to leave but he didn't say anything or just made some jokes. After a while it was annouced on the Offspring site.

Atom said a few months ago that he's planning to stay in the Offspring, and I'd think he would have been involved with Angels and Airwaves already by that point. If the statements on the A&A website really meant he was leaving the Offspring, I think they might have said something here by now, y'know?
