legendary pantera guitarist was shot to death last nite in ohio.

i found out about an hour or 2 after it happened (and im all the way in TX). he was one of my imspirations to pick up a guitar, very skilled musician with one hell of a personality.

i'm sure theres lotsa news about it by now, its just so sudden and tragic.

I just read about it in the newspaper. I didn't know Pantera or Damage Plan really well, but I'm still shocked that it has happened. What was that guy thinking?

Today's world is sick. A living legend shot during a gig how the hell could that happen?? and Why would someone want to do such a thing? Many Pantera and Damage Plan fans will be in mourning and in shock to this event, and he will always live in our hearts for the great music pantera and damageplan created :)

although i've never really listen to pantera or damage plan, i can understand that it is a great loss, :(

man this year weve seen a lot of great people die too early, johnny ramone and indian larry to name a few in addition to Dimebag. Im not really a huge fan of either of his bands but that doesnt change my outlook on this tragedy.

rumour goin round is the shooter yelled at dimebag about him supposedly breaking up pantera before shooting him.

so was this just a guy who was angry his band broke up, and was looking to lay blame?

I got banned for UG for saying it was a good thing.

I was kidding, it's not a good thing, someone is dead. The fact that I hated his "music" and both of his bands doesn't change that.

indeed, i aint into any of his music but what happened at that show is just a shitty situation all round.
