So apparently it could only change DVD-region a set number of times. And now I used them up. Is there any way I can download something to circumvent this stupidity? :(:(:(

Yes, I'm sure there is.
Huh? Oh, no, sorry. I have no clue how.
Some firmware update I believe. I'm not sure where from or what.

will it continue to work after the trial version?
Erm... crack it? Relatively easy to find. Works fine for me.

I must underline the fact that I am completely incompetent with regards to computers.
So I just need to download a crack?

I hate when they say "MAY DESTROY YOUR DVD DRIVE!"
It kills. It really does.

I just started making DVDs on my laptop finally. It's a fuckin' bitch encoding 2-3hr video clips into mpeg-2 dvd burnable format and then taking the Video_TS folder that comes from that and turning it into a disk image and THEN burning that onto a DVD-R movie disc. Takes all fuckin' day, I swear.
Why do you burn in into an image file and directly to the dvd?

Actually, I used to turn it into an image file, but I dowloaded DVD2OneX and that just takes the Video_TS folder and burns it straight and makes a complete DVD of it.
I used to use disk images on Apple's Disk Utility because I didn't know what the fuck I was doing though.
Or are you asking something else? I may be stupid/confused.
No I was asking you. But yeah, the whole MPG/AVI to DVD process is a bitch.

It really is a pain. But ffmpegX on Mac OS X kinda solves everything by being an all in one video and audio joiner/encoder/EVERYTHING. It's just that it takes fuckin' FOREVER to do everything.
I generally just burn the VIDEO_TS (with a blank AUDIO_TS as some players don't like to work without it) as a DVD rom and it plays fine. In toast I select DVD-ROM (UDF) and have never had a complaint from anyone I've given discs.
Encoding is a bitch though. And I loved how that my Final Cut Pro/DVD Studio Pro came with exactly no (real) instructions or information on ac3 encoding. I had to go through the settings many times before I finally found what worked best without fucking up the audio.

I finally got it to work. I fucking win!
Sure a person with a monkey's knowledge of crackin' could've figured it out faster than I did. But so fucking what.
lolz now i'm a cracker.
Not the kinda that Ricky hates.
Oh who are we kidding, Richy hates all crackers.
