Chavs....like.....offspring?!

I was walking down the road and this completely chavved Citroen Saxo pulled up, and i mean chavved. Spoiler, side skirts, green decorated paint job, blue neons, the works, and inside, although i couldn't see, i would be my left bollock that there was a self centred, arrogen twat in an addidas tracksuit with sovereigns and a burberry cap, smoking a king sized mayfair. However, he drove up and i turned round, half expecting happy hardcore or uprising, but as he drove past i herd 'of blowing away (yeah-yeeah)' and i was bad habit!! anyone else in england had this experience, or i am i the first?!

my brothers a chav and one of his favourite bands is The Offspring but they're the only good band he listens to but he used to be a rocker and when he turned into a chav he couldn't stop listening to The Offspring.

I think you are alone. Once i was listening to Intermission with a friend i got into the Offspring and a gang of eight odd chavs came over to me and snatched the headphones, then they saw the cd and stopped instinctively battering me. They said the Offspring was a skater band, i doubt they had ever heard them or ever will, but they have absoltely nothing to do with anything 'skater'. I think if they gave it the chance they might like it though, my brother liked the Offspring when he was in primary around the time of Americana, anyway now he's a big time punk with a nose ring and five ear piercings, now i like them he doesn't say it much but he still likes them, even though i doubt hes ever heard much of Smash or anything before it.

Yeah but everyone likes that song. Pretty much everyone anyway.

I don't hate chavs as mch as i make out anyway, some are ok, the ones that don't hurt anyone but just look hard, dress in tracksuits and listen to rap, i got nothing against so long as they don't hurt anyone for little or no reason. Some can be quite witty and clever too, i still hate anyone who picks on weaker people than themselves though.

The thing about chavs that really pisses me off is how they don't even give punk rock or heavy metal or anything like that a chance.
Most chavs will hear either 'Punk' or 'Metal' and automatically say it's crap without even listening.
I can criticise this shitty chav music, because that is all they seem to play on the radio nowadays, and it all sounds exactly the same.
The thing that made me laugh though is how I knew one chav and he absolutely loved 'Ace Of Spades' by Motorhead, and you don't get much more metal than that, but on the whole I would be very surprised if a chav liked 'The Offspring' or anything good for that matter!
