Listen to the drums in Nothing From Something after about 2:30 into it. You can hear a minor mistake made by Ron.

I've noticed that before, but never considered a mistake until now, realizing that is the only time in the song he makes the "mistake".

All I Want has the same mistake at 0:24 sec.

Also Gone Away has a bassguitar mistake, when the guitars come in after the drum intro, the bass begins a tad later, listen to it.

How could you even hear the bass mistake? The bass is pretty inaudible as it is.

Yeah.. it's so sad that the Gods Noodles, Dexter, Greg and in that time the semimortal Ron made that mistake

Its not a mistake dude... The bass starts at the right time, its the guitar that starts a bit early (supposed to be that way). I've played it on my guitar and if you start it at the "right" time it sounds very wrong.

I don't hear anything at 2.30 on Nothing From Something and on All I Want Ron just hits the cymbal.. I don't think that's a mistake.

There is also a drum mistake on Dirty Magic, about 2:31 into song, it mostly involves the bass drum.

I can not hear the Dirty Magic and the All I Want "mistakes". As said, the Gone Away should be like that. Thay play it like that live.

And no, I do not have to much spare time. I just like that song.

When I play it on guitar, it sounds totally perfect except for the bassguitar.

I think what they mean in all i want and something from something is when ron hit the crash he stope playing with his ride for a second

Did you ever wonder if Ron was really supposed to only play that little snare fill in Self-Esteem only once, during the first chorus? (1:12-1:13ish)

Ron plays the snare pretty inconsistently from 1:27 to 1:31 in Way Down the Line, and the Snare/Tom rolls he does in this song aren't that great.

What about the ride cymbal mistake a 0:20 in Nothing From Something? I don't hear a ride or a crash cymbal note there, and there really should be at least one of those. It kinda sounds cool though.

D.U.I. has a mistake on guitar before the second couple. Guitar begins a little earlier.
** I read that ignition is recorded live from the band except vocals.
I don't mind guys if there are mistakes ... their songs are awesome!! ;)

ok...I checked it again but more carefully. Listen at 1:57 and 2:06, he hits hard, the same thing is doing at 2:31 but speedily he hits the cymbal. Then he is hiting just a cymbal at 2:36, 2:40 and 2:44.

It's intentional.

I only heard the "Gone Away" and "Way Down the Line" ones (neither of which I noticed before now). The rest are just to inconspicuous to catch. You're my hero if you can hear them.

Well I guess if the band thought it was wrong they wouldnt have put it on the cd now would they?

If you listen to the clip about 10 times repeatedly in a row and then listen to the original you'll hear it very clearly.

as someone else said, they were happy enough with what was recorded!

ive never heard the "mistakes" so many people go on about, if there are, it shouldnt take anything away from the music!

There's a mistake on "Worst Hangover Ever". It starts at 0:01. Whoops! :p

Actually, if there's a mistake on the album such as timing, wouldn't that be the producer's fault? Instruments are recorded seperately in the studio, it's not like they're recording all the same room like it's some sort of live show.

Even if I love them, Green Day can suck the Offspring's dick.

ok, now ive been reading this thread and i think that what many of you are saying is rather silly. Not to be judgemental, but... its getting rediculus already. I don't mind people noticing the mistakes, its actually interesting but some people are taking them too seriously, as if though its actually gonna hurt the song. Like, some of you are posting that "so what!? theyre just human!!!"... no ones going against anything!! And for the record, bands make mistakes all the time, listen to the beatles!! the older bands! Im hearin some of you talkin bout "how culd they release the album with an error?! theres an error there! if i noticed it... thye mustv noticed it, are they slacikin off now?"... cmon, if you were in a band and u missed the intro by a NANOsecond (which by the way im hella impressed that you catched that... i dunno how you did that) hes not gonna go in and play the whole fucking thing again. Its frustrating, recording music is frustrating! honestly i LIKE it, it gives it more of a human feel. And some people one of you think its hard to beleive that a band can record live. Many bands do that too! These things are normal, i prefer for a band to play live, i dont feel so seperated from the band, its like their playin live (which they are). Im just tryin to speak my mind here, i hate to be the one that shits on people but seriously! some of you... use a bit of logic. AGAIN im not against the topic, its a great topic, keep up the good work.
