The weather here in Kansas is perfect right now, sunny and dry but also cool. It's amazing how it went from being unbearably hot and humid every day, then suddenly about a week ago it became like this. I've never been able to pinpoint the exact day summer ended before.

and dude, i'm sure that you & charlie would be able to get one sometime...houses there are like, dirt cheap, especially compared to how expensive everything is up here. the price difference is crazy.

and it's unfuckingbelievable how expensive beach houses are up here. in places like montauk (the tip of long island i mentioned), 700k would get you like.. a trailer. if you're lucky. then there's places like the hamptons, where the prices go from "crazy" to "beyond ridiculous".

uh, depends how fast you drive. maybe 2 and a half to 3 hours? i can make it there faster, but i drive way faster than i probably should.

yeah, prices here are just absolutely ridiculous. i think my house there would go for like...120k? it's 2 bedrooms, a block from the beach, decent amount of property, etc. like a summer or two ago there was a really nice house a few blocks away that had an indoor pool, skylights, quite a few bedrooms, etc...for like 200k. it's a great area too.

Ha, you northerners got the remnants of Ernesto that have fucked us up down here for the past few days. However, today we had the most fucking beautiful day, like, EVER, right after 3 solid days of nearly nonstop rain.
