Me too. I set marks, like, I want all level 60s when I face the elite 4. I know that's a bit low, but I have good ones, so it's all good.

Yeah. After every Gym leader, i need to go up 10 more levels but after like the 5th gym, i just go up by 5. It's too hard.

Around 60 something. I couldn't level them all up at the same level. It took to long.

In Diamond, my toughest, Torterra and my Garchomp were around 66. Let me check.

Edit: Yep. Torterra is 67 and Garchomp is 64.

Maybe it's more difficult in that generation, but when I beat the Elite Four in Diamond, all of my guys were level 52. But lemme tell you, it was pretty friggin close.

If you don't want him, then Squirtle is the second choice, even thought he's not as good as Bulbasuar.

Charmander should be your last choice.

And actually, Charmander learns Steel Claw at level 13 in FireRed/LeafGreen, which is super-effective against rock, so Charmander's fine against Brock now too. Misty will be a bit difficult, but you should have another team member by then.

Yeah, I picked Charmander. He is weak against rock types, but luckily I caught a Mankey for that.

I think I'm going to face the elite four with only five pokemon. I don't really feel like training Marowak another 16 levels :(

Just take Marowak for the "Potion" pokemon. If your pokemon's HP is low or something, bring him out and use potions on the weak pokemons.

I did that with Snorlax. Good HP but his attacks sucked. It was Rest, Snore, Sleep Talk, and Yawn.

Yeah, I might do that. It's level 44, which isn't *bad*. I taught Nidoking Earthquake though, so I don't really need another ground pokemon. While I'm getting Nidoking, Jolteon, and Dewgong up to 60 I'm leaving the Marowak in the daycare to try and get an extra level or two.

Does it have to be fighting type? Water's not resistant to ground. At least, I don't think it is.

Edit: Same problem with lightning pokemon, except most of them get destroyed even without supereffectiveness.

You kidding me? Espeon and Laefeon are awesome. Glaceon and Umbreon are useful, though I'm not a fan. Vaporeon and Jolteon are both in my top 10 possibly top 5 favorite pokemon, but still.






Oh, big news! I just played pokemon firered all the way through island 3 using only my Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard. Level 89 when finished! I couldn't go to the last 4 islands since my pokedex was 1/3 the size it needed to be in order to get the national dex, though :(
