Bonjour Maria! I believe the "dudes" are known as Pearly Kings, and the guards in London are Scots Guards (you're thinking of the ones with the furry hats right?).

Yes it IS the Pearly Kings (too true but of course), & yes I meant those with the nice red uniform & hat... I wonder if they move if you step on their toes or tweak their noses... or perhaps you aren't allowed to hurt them in any way! I wouldn't know... London is so full of eccentricities! *plays the innocent French lass*

The weekend isn't going amazingly, I had an exam yesterday that I most likely failed :( And then I've got another 3 exams this coming week :eek:
So no rest for me!!

I liked that video by the way, especially the bit at the start where he says that we should give Norfolk back to the French!!

oh and the guards can't move at all, so many tourists have their photo's taken next to them. But if for example the guard gets cramp, they can do a small march essentially to nowhere, just as long as they shout out orders and do it in a professional manner!

Ah but that is really amazing then! They're paid for staying immobile, are they? Grand... besides, I've always found those uniforms & hats the height of sekshiness... all I long for is vacations to be able to play the tourist (I bet you I'd act the part, too, photos & all).
