Video editing software ?

Does anyone know video software that can connect mpg files together so they become a single video?

Preferably something free or hackable.

how about good old Windows Movie Maker, it comes free with Service Pack 2, if not, try:

shit. should have mentioned I like mac much much better. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure iMovie does what i want, and I should have thought about it earlier.
