I was very close to driving up to Chicago, but then I realized that a 24 hour round trip, with only two days in the city, might not be terribly grand. I guess it's the horrific Nashville-to-Washington round trip that ultimately scared me off (a horrible drive). Instead I'll stay slightly closer to home and see what my friends are up to, assuming they don't have the good sense to get the fuck out of this flea-bitten hick town.
