Any of you still remember when McD launched the Hello Kitty couple soft toys a few years back? If you dont remember nevermind ... but a few years back people were queing up just to buy the whole series of Helloy Kitty sost toys.

Response had been so good in Singapore till people are willing to kill and fight for it. I think someone was hurt in Singapore fighting for Hello Kitty collectable dolls. Some even queue up for days just to get buy those Hello Kitty soft toys.

But nowadays it seems that the trend actually slowed down by alot, we dont force ourself to eat McD on a daily basis just because they introduced some new collectable Snoopy/Hello Kitty figurines anymore.

Recently Eva Air launched a new concept incorporating Hello Kitty in their fleet, its kinda like the Airplane with a theme lidat la .... The Hello Kitty Airline!!! 1st of its kind, this brings the pink-est and cutest Hello Kitty merchandise outta shelves and into the planes! Even the meal are designed to represents some sorta Hello Kitty endorsement.

Here are some pictures of the Bizarre yet exciting Airline:

They look like baby meals and I don't think I'd like to eat anything like that. I like the girls, though. They are very pretty.

Is that an eyeball in the second meal? I always knew Hello Kitty was hiding something sinister. Hello Kitty meals are made out of people!

I've said this before, I'll say it again: you've gotta love 'em, but Japanese folks are fucking insane.

That food looks creepy :(

But Hello Kitty overdose > Mr. Bean overdose, so I'd use it!

I agree with this.

It looks like it's meant to be served to three year olds... that would weird me out. Plus I sorta hate the hello kitty craze.

It is kinda cute,but...creepy! I wouldn't want to use an airline that looked like it was aimed at children! The food looks quite nice, but again-only for kids! Its bit silly to force a theme like this on adults! And bright pink outfits?!!! Gah.I hate pink.:-/
This kind of thing belongs in a theme park, not on a plane!

Has anyone here ever tasted good food on an airplane??

I sure haven't I'm starting to be a little bit skeptic about it.

Its bit silly to force a theme like this on adults!

Did I misread something?

They're not replacing every airline in Japan with the Hello Kitty airline, nobody's being forced to do anything.

I know noone is forced to use Hello Kitty Airlines,I'm just saying I can't see it being an adult's first choice.I think they would either use it because of nagging/begging from their kids or because it was the only plane ticket they could get.
I wouldn't take an Airline seriously if it had cartoon characters as its logos.I suppose ppl view things like that differently in Japan though,as their culture is so different from Western culture.I dunno...I find it all a bit weird.

really? That seems a little strange to me.

Japanese people are a thing of the past.

Their time will come, with the Trident.

Why is it strange that I hate pink? I never wear it and rarely use pink fonts. Not all girls like pink,u know!:p

Yes, but you love every other color so much that I kind of just assumed you liked pink as well

Eccentric Sara

Hehe, fair enough!:D I suppose pastel pink is OK as part of something that is lots of different colours, like a patchwork quilt or something, but large areas of pink I just don't find pleasing to the eye! My favourite colour and second favourite colour are green and purple respectively, and I like things that are generally multicoloured/diverse in pattern/texture etc...:)

I do have a tendency to state the obvious! And I wanted to clarify that I don't like pink because, well,it's too girly a colour for me! I ain't THAT girly a person!:D

It's only one plane of one fleet, and it is most likely just temporary.
Fun things are a horribe thing, right?
I can understand it perfectly when people dont like HK, but you cant possibly tell me that you havent noticed how many people on this planet love HK.

I bet it will be stupidly expensive and become old rather quickly.

I didn't know it was only one plane! I thought it was an entire airline! One plane is cool as a novelty thing,as ppl can choose whether to use it or not!:) And no,fun things are not horrible!lol (Just cos I'm a miserable git,it doesn't mean I disapprove of stuff that other ppl find fun! ) I was just saying that forcing something on someone just because YOU think it's fun (and they don't) is wrong! Seeing as it's only one plane, this would not happen.
And I think Hello Kitty is quite cute, but like I said,I wouldn't want to fly on a plane with cartoon characters all over it.
