They wear helmets and stuff (you can't exactly wear cleats when you're skating into each other...), and get into big fights that end with a lot of blood. Have you ever seen roller derby?

A league just started in my hometown. I met one of the girls at a bar a few weeks ago. She introduced herself to me as "Whips and Chains". Unfortunately, I've been working each night they've had a bout. I'd really like to check it out, it sounds exceptionally violent.

Well, if you seriously wanna know, two teams of girls skate in a rink, and the goal is for one team's "scorer" to get past the other team. They're pretty much allowed to do whatever they want, but each girl has a "position" on the team, as there are various offensive and defensive positions. Often times girls fall off the track, or big fights break out. My former roommate is on a team, and they're actually pretty good. It's also a sport that just anyone can enjoy, because it's actually interesting.

I remember original Roller Derby from forever ago. It was men and women, with basically the same rules. It was on late at night on TNT I think. Before TNT was Spike. Then not to long ago there was a show that followed one team in the girls roller derby competitions.

Yeah, roller derby used to be for guys and girls, and it used to be a professional sport. Over time, it lost popularity and now it's mostly a girls' sport. I think guys would look pretty gay playing it. :P
